Ferndale Court Senior Family Homes was established in Renton, Washington in 1998 by Karen Austin, a registered nurse, who wanted to provide a quality family-style environment for seniors in need of assisted living care. Karen has a long history of working with seniors in all stages of health. Her attention and quality of care has made Ferndale Court Senior Family Homes very successful. Along of course, with her carefully selected staff! 

Since 1998, Ferndale Adult Family Homes has grown from only one house to two houses with the purchase of the adjacent property. With the addition of a second house, Ferndale's staff and residential occupancy  has also doubled. And so have the possibilities for making Ferndale Adult Family homes the wonderful and comfortable Assisted Living Facility that is it today.

One of the best advantages that came about when Karen and her husband John built the second home right next to the first home, is that they built their residence onto the second home. This means that Karen is always readily available to see to the needs of her residents and staff, and that John, a very handy man, is always available for repairs and maintenance.
